Baby Shower

Two weeks ago my wonderful friend Meredith hosted my baby shower at her house! I wish I had taken more pictures, especially of the food and Mere's amazing house and decorations. Her house looks like it could be in a magazine, it's so beautiful. I'm going to make her fly to wherever I move to so she can help me decorate.

Four prego ladies. Jess and I were roommates freshman year. Sara is due two weeks after me, and lucky Tiff just had her baby!

Here is a group shot. Thanks everyone for coming!

4 Weeks Left!

Yesterday was my 36 week appointment. I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. The baby is head down and my doctor said she could feel his head a little bit. I can't wait to meet our little boy!!

Jared Week- Day 5: We Are a Team

I never have to ask Jared twice to help me do something. He takes the dirty garbage out, and I put a new bag in. He empties the clean dishwasher and I put the dirty ones in. After dinner he always puts the leftovers away. And I can’t remember the last time I had to clean the toilet. He does that, without ever complaining. With his busy class schedule, part-time job and trying to find a job after graduation, my husband is fully invested in our marriage and helps me around the house. We are a partnership in everything we do, and we are so happily in love with each other.

I hope you've enjoyed this small glimpse into our lives. This is the last post of the week because, well tomorrow is the weekend and so I plan to spend it in the arms of my hot husband. You're jealous, I know.

Jared Week- Day 4: Belly Talk

Sometimes Jared will act like my belly button is an intercom to talk to the baby. He’ll press my belly button and put his mouth close to it and whisper into it, so I can barely hear his “private conversation” with the baby. Then he’ll turn his head so his ear is next to my belly button, like he’s waiting for the baby to talk back to him. He’ll ask him if he’s busy practicing his soccer moves in my womb. Or if the baby kicks really hard and I say “Ow!” Jared will get a proud look on his face and yell “Get her baby!!”

I didn’t think it was possible, but I fall in love with him more and more each time I hear his tender ramblings with our son.

Jared Week- Day 3: A Conversation with Jared

Jared with his hand on my belly: Is baby asleep?

Me: Yeah I think so; I haven’t felt him move in a while

Jared: Well do you want to drink some orange juice?

Me: Why?

Jared: To wake him up

Me: No hunny, we should probably let him sleep.

Jared with a hurt look as he pulls away: Fine, but you’re not the only one that likes to play with baby!

Jared Week- Day 2: Early Bird

I know this is a day late, but yesterday I was sick in bed with breaks for throwing up and other disgusting highlights. Jared was so great to take care of me, and to clean up my bucket :).

I Am No Early Bird

Jared learned early on in our marriage that I hate getting up in the morning, I love to sleep in as late as possible and can be very grumpy. He, however, is very cheery in the morning. He always wakes up before me to take a shower, then comes to tell me that it’s my turn to hop in.

He wakes me up with kisses and a “Good Morning Beautiful” which makes me oh so happy and ready to face each day. Even with my large belly he makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

Jared Week- Day 1: Love Notes

I decided that this week is going to be Jared Week. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my husband, and this week I will give you a peek into our wonderful life and why I am continuously falling in love with him.

I work on-campus in the same building that Jared has classes in. Sometimes he stops by when I'm not here and leaves me love notes on my desk that make my day!
