Another One of Jared's Many Talents

I am so proud of my husband. He hasn't painted since high school, so I'm really glad he was able to practice this talent again. For a final project in a class he did his version of a John Singer Sargent painting: The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit, 1882 I tried documenting all the stages of painting, so here they are. My picture taking skills aren't the best...his painting looks much better in real life!
You can see his first sketch on the very left. Then on the canvas on the very right is where he practiced making the right colors




Jared left out the two daughters in the dark. When he was researching the painting he learned that the two girls in the dark had emotional/mental problems later in life. It's so interesting how it was translated into the painting with them in the dark
