Blessings

Today I stood two feet away from the Prophet of the Lord, Thomas S. Monson. I wanted so badly to shake his hand, but there was a security man and a rope in my way.

The new addition of the Tanner building was dedicated today, and the entire First Presidency, along with a few members of the Twelve were present. I was able to shake hands with Elder Nelson, Elder Perry and Elder Ballard. Elder Ballard was much smaller than I envisioned him to be, even his wife is only a few inches taller than me. They are such a cute, petite little couple!

I am so grateful to have graduated from, and to now work for a University that focuses on the spiritual well-being of those that pass through these doors. The dedicatory prayer that President Monson gave was very humbling and I could feel the Spirit and power in his words.

The baby was moving around like crazy during the program (I really had to go to the bathroom and he usually kicks me a lot when he is impatient for me to go), but during the prayer he was so calm and was a good little boy so that I could focus.

Sometimes I feel like we've been living here at BYU forever and there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel when Jared graduates in April. But looking back at our experiences here, we have been blessed and uplifted by the opportunities presented to us and I know our marriage has been strengthened by it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, and especially to meet our baby boy in just over six weeks!!
